Wynwood Art District/Miami Ori Gal, regarded as a leading exponent of Abstract Expressionism is  celebrated by both patrons and the press.  During Ori’s most recent iteration, Ray of Light during Art Basel – Art Week Miami in December 2018 he announced from his Wynwood Studio that the premiere exhibit of the  Artist Studio Series will debut in April 2019 with a group exhibit of emerging artists. Ori’s  announcement of the formation of the ARTGalori Artist Studio Series is being metwith unrivaled support. His motivation to underwrite the project “is one part gratitude and an unwavering commitment to guide and support emerging artists”.
The debut of bi-monthly exhibits will be held at ARTGalori Artist Studio beginning in April 2019.  The  forum is organized to nurture and showcase new talent and assist them in  navigating  the art world’s combustible terrain.  Channeling his own experience Ori admits,  “I recognize the challenges facing young artists in their attempt to break through the unwieldy and sometimes cut throat labyrinth that is the art mill.  We, at ARTGalori Artist Studio  will grant the gifted  a safe haven  to showcase their work in an incubator like environment while underwriting the expenses from curating the show, promoting and hosting once the pieces arrive in Miami from points here and beyond.” *

A significant solo show of large format, mixed-media paintings of Gal’s oeuvre is on display at the ARTGalori Artist Studio in the Wynwood Art District at 164 NW 20th Street, Miami, FL 33127. The work depicts the fundamental experience of landscapes and the human form yet defies literal interpretation. Characterized by a mastery of color and energetic gestures his vision is ever more abstract as he evolves as a highly collectable artist.  With uninhibited brushwork that exudes an intense relation with nature’s sensuality he can lay claim to an evolving mastery of technique.  Breathtaking, unrestrained and in possession of  dynamic freshness aptly describes the rich cosmos of his palette.  The vibration of light, color and texture is to the eye like the sound reverberating in the ear when the music stops.
For two decades Ori pursued a conventional career becoming  a successful entrepreneur in product development, banking and real estate.  His catharsis from a covert creator of artistic expression relegated to his basement to one who identifies as an artist was born out in 2015 at ArtBasel – Miami.  An impromptu invitation to exhibit in a show entitled ManySkin with the subtext that ‘difference is the same’ invited the participation of photographers, painters, sculptors and graffiti artists.  Each were given a department store mannequin with the sole guideline that  ‘their curvaceous, lifeless bodies be covered with anything but clothes’.  The resulting exhibition, shown at the LAAM Latin America Art Museum and supported by the respected galleries including Gary Nader invoked a reality of existence that was uncompromising and conjured the effects of cultural confrontation.
The Scenario Gallery also encouraged and supported his first commercial, solo exhibition, Into My Life. ? “Just as in life, as experiences collect, the highs and lows impact, and the self slowly and uniquely evolves these experiences became the armature of my creative process,” he says.  Ori employs materials ranging from organic wool in the  series Feel Me But Don’t Touch.  Acrylics are thinned and thickened to create multi-dimensional canvases with unabated inspiration that coalesce into a schematic that is remarkably free, redolent with waves, splatters and decorative flourishes.
Courting a coterie of interior decorators, gallery owners, curators and discerning collectors Ori’s  museum quality work is critically appreciated.  He says with engaging enthusiasm, “Today all I want to  do is create! I bless every piece with the word ‘Amen’, as I humbly know that while the execution may have come from my hands, it is the guidance of the ‘light’ that allows me to reflect the movement achieved in the final pieces.”
