After a successful tour with Bobaflex, the band records two new songs with plans for more.
After being on the road throughout the month of August, Kirra lead Guitarist Daxton Page is excited about band’s future with the bands newest member and the chance to write new material with him. “Gabriel has been really great to work with. He’s brought a real power and passion to the band’s sound.”
Recently the band entered Sonic Palace Studios in Oak Park IL with engineer producer Matt Mercado to record two new songs with the new lineup. “Matt worked with us on our EP “Fight or Flight” and we built a pretty good relationship so we decided to come back to his studio for these new songs” Page states. “The recording process for these new songs has been really rewarding; we’ve worked in this studio before so it allowed us to come in and just focus on the songs without having to adjust to new environments.”
The songwriting process has always been a group effort with the band and continues to be the same with Parson. “The songwriting process has been awesome; we have a very open system of input. Everybody can suggest parts to each other and the songs tend to go down some cool roads. For us 2, 3, or 4 minds are better than 1” Page explains.
The four piece hard rock band has three releases and two singles that made the Billboard Rock Indicator Charts, and has also toured with such bands as three-time Grammy nominated band Nothing More, Saving Abel, Soil, The Veer Union, Smile Empty Soul, and Tantric, performed at Rocklahoma, Rocktoberfest, and opened for Puddle Of Mudd.
When asked about the upcoming tour with Sevendust Page responds “It’s absolutely surreal. One of the bands that brought us together when we first became friends was Sevendust and even the co-headliner Tremonti played a similar role in the band’s history, so its an honor to be on such a tremendous bill like this.”
