Bulletins Guidelines

The Artvoice Bulletins section consists of editorial listings that promote opportunities for artists, actors, volunteers, and interns. For consideration, Artvoice will accept flyers, press releases, or other brief statements of need that are sent, emailed, or faxed to the addresses below. However, because the Bulletins section consists of editorial listings, not advertisements, the specific wording of any listing, as well as the number of issues in which it will appear, remain at the sole discretion of Artvoice. There is no guarantee that any editorial listing will be published, nor that the specific wording with which information has been submitted will be retained. There is also no guarantee that a listing that has been accepted for publication will appear in more than one issue.

Please note: Artvoice does not keep Bulletins listings on file. When requesting listings similar in content to those that have appeared previously, please resubmit all pertinent information for renewed consideration, with the understanding that previous acceptance does not guarantee renewed publication.

Conditions for acceptable Bulletins listings are as follows:

Auditions

Temporary acting positions for specific productions by a legitimate local theater company are acceptable. However, no television, radio, commercial, theme-park, or other non-theatrical roles such as children's performers or magicians will be considered, nor will theater positions that do not include acting in a production, such as lighting directors, choreographers, etc. We will consider listings for parts in independent and student film projects, but not for non-acting positions such as camera operators or lighting designers. To advertise for these positions, please consider utilizing the "arts employment" category of Artvoice's Help Wanted classifieds.

Call for Work/Artist

We will only consider listings from legitimate galleries, art spaces, museums, and other cultural organizations that are primarily non-commercial in nature. Vendor opportunities, arts and craft festivals, and other predominantly commercial events and sales will not be accepted. PLEASE NOTE: Openings and gallery hours are not published in the Bulletins section. To submit calendar info to Artviews, the page dedicated to gallery hours and openings, please review the guidelines published at the bottom of the Artviews page. For festivals and vendor-oriented events, please consider utilizing the "Sales & Events" category of Artvoice's classifieds.

Volunteers/Interns Needed

We will run calls for non-paid volunteer and non-paid internship positions for legitimate community groups and not-for-profit organizations. Listings from private businesses will not be accepted. To advertise for these positions, please consider utilizing the "Interns" category of Artvoice's Help Wanted classifieds.

Call for Singers

Singing groups, choirs, and chorales affiliated with not-for-profit organizations such as temples and churches will be considered, although privately organized bands, groups, and other musical entities will not be accepted.
